Japan - Ferry from Hakodate to Aomori

Hakodate is a souther harbor town in Hokkaido and Aomori is a Northern harbor town in Honshu.
I could've used a train because a tunnel connects the two islands, but I wanted to go trough the sea.

The Japanese seascape was very blueish. Everything around seems blue, when the blue sky and its reflection on the sea gets filtered up with the misty air.

Hokkaido - Tooyako and Hakodate

Here's a picture slideshow from Tooyako and Hakodate.

Tooyako is a nice lake with a few mountains in the middle. There were fireworks there
Hakodate is a southern harbor town in Hokkaido.

Hokkaido was a nice place. I had a cheap train ticket and could only use local trains. Some of the trains I used were very minor and many stops basically had no stations. Just some funny boxes :)

Climate was much warmer than Finland especially in the southern part that I was in.
Forests looked like jungle to me...

Hokkaido - Noboribetsu

Noboribetsu is a Onsen, spa town south of Sapporo. Besides onsens there are a few attractions. And some nice nature

Jigokudani, "Hell Valley." Volcanic area that is smoking constantly for hundreds or thousands of years already

There was probably some story to this small puddle...
